Good Friday

Good Friday is a powerful and emotional day for us Christians. It’s a time to pause and remember the incredible love and sacrifice that Jesus showed by going to the cross. On this day, we’re invited to stand at the foot of the cross and really take in what He did for us.

At the core, Good Friday is about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It’s the moment when He took on the weight of our sins and made a way for us to be reconciled with God.

“But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.” – Isaiah 53:5

Yes today is a somber day, but it’s not a day without hope. Good Friday reminds us of the cost of our freedom, but it also points us forward to what’s coming… The resurrection! It’s amazing too. Because out of the darkest moment in history, came the brightest moment. As John 3:16 reminds us, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

So today, let’s take time to reflect. Let’s come with open hearts, remembering the depth of His love and the power of His grace. Let’s allow the cross to remind us not only of the price Jesus paid, but of the hope and new life we now have because of it. For those who do not consider themselves Christians, consider all of this and what it means for your life. Because Jesus didn’t only die for Christians, He died for the sins of the world, Including yours. So, I invite you to consider thanking Him for that sacrifice. Consider turning to him. Confess your sins and repent of them and put your faith and trust in him today for your salvation. God bless!
