Good Friday is the day Christians remember that Jesus was put on the cross and died for the sins of the world. It is a very serious and sad day because Jesus was innocent, yet He chose to suffer in our place. Christians call it “good” not because what happened was pleasant, but because through His death, Jesus paid the price for sin so that people could be forgiven and brought back into a relationship with God. It also reminds believers of how deeply Jesus loves them, because He was willing to give His life to save them.

A true child of God is not just someone who knows religious facts, says the right words, or tries to be moral. A true child of God is someone whose life is being directed by the Holy Spirit. When we are led by the Spirit, we are relying on God's guidance for us. The Holy Spirit is a person and represents the power of God. The same power that created the universe. The same power that rose Jesus from the dead. The same power that is used to transform us from within. When you follow the Spirit, you are following God's will for you.

Easter is a season of great significance for people of faith around the world. It’s more than just a holiday... It’s the celebration of the greatest act of love in human history... The resurrection of Jesus Christ. For believers, Easter represents the triumph of life over death, light over darkness, and hope over despair. At the heart of Easter is the empty tomb. It is a symbol of victory, a promise kept, and an assurance that no matter how dark the night, morning is coming. Through Christ's resurrection, people of faith are reminded that God’s power is greater than any hardship, and His love reaches down into the depths of suffering to bring redemption. Easter keeps the flame of hope alive. It tells us that the story isn’t over and that God is still writing a beautiful ending for all who trust in Him.

Good Friday is a powerful and emotional day for us Christians. It’s a time to pause and remember the incredible love and sacrifice that Jesus showed by going to the cross. On this day, we’re invited to stand at the foot of the cross and really take in what He did for us. At the core, Good Friday is about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It’s the moment when He took on the weight of our sins and made a way for us to be reconciled with God. “But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.” - Isaiah 53:5 Yes today is a somber day, but it’s not a day without hope. Good Friday reminds us of the cost of our freedom, but it also points us forward to what’s coming… The resurrection! It’s amazing too. Because out of the darkest moment in history, came the brightest moment. As John 3:16 reminds us, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” So today, let’s take time to reflect. Let’s come with open hearts, remembering the depth of His love and the power of His grace. Let’s allow the cross to remind us not only of the price Jesus paid, but of the hope and new life we now have because of it. For those who do not consider themselves Christians, consider all of this and what it means for your life. Because Jesus didn’t only die for Christians, He died for the sins of the world, Including yours. So, I invite you to consider thanking Him for that sacrifice. Consider turning to him. Confess your sins and repent of them and put your faith and trust in him today for your salvation. God bless!

What does the bible say about friends? God loves His children enjoying each other's company! David and Jonathan's relationship was a amazing example of friendship and loyalty in the Bible. Check their story out in the book of 1 Samual! Jonathan, the son of King Saul, formed a close relationship with David after David defeated Goliath. The Bible describes their friendship with deep affection and loyalty. In 1 Samuel 18:3, it says, "And Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself." So, even though the tension and conflict that came up when Saul's jealousy of David led to many attempts on David’s life, Jonathan protected and supported David. In 1 Samuel 20:42, Jonathan says to David, "Go in peace, for we have sworn friendship with each other in the name of the Lord, saying, 'The Lord is witness between you and me, and between your descendants and my descendants forever.'" Their friendship is celebrated as one that has mutual respect, faithfulness, and protection. It is any amazing example of selfless love and unwavering support amid challenging circumstances. Who is the David or Jonathan in your life? I love my brothers and sisters in Christ and the time we spend together in fellowship and learning God's word AND the way we walk in Christ together is a true blessing. God loves to see His children obeying Him in how we live our lives together.

Sharing the Gospel is vital because Jesus commanded us to do so, and it plays a crucial role in God’s plan for the world. In Mark 13:10, Jesus declares, "And the gospel must first be preached to all nations." This verse reminds us that spreading the message of salvation is not optional—it is a divine mandate. The Gospel is the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16), offering hope, forgiveness, and eternal life through Jesus Christ. As His followers, we are called to be His witnesses, ensuring that every person has the opportunity to hear the truth. By obeying this command, we participate in God's redemptive work, shining His light in a dark world and preparing hearts for Christ’s return.

It's important to resist doing what the devil wants because his goal is to lead us away from God and fill our hearts with doubt, fear, and sin. Instead, we should do the opposite and seek to follow God's will, which brings us peace, joy, and purpose. God’s way is always good, leading us to a life filled with His love and blessings. One of the best ways to stay on the right path is by reading His Word. The Bible gives us wisdom, strength, and guidance to make the right choices and stand firm against the enemy's tricks. When we fill our minds with God’s truth, we can recognize lies and stay focused on what truly matters—living a life that honors Him.

Snow is one of God's most beautiful and creative works. Each snowflake that falls from the sky is a tiny masterpiece, uniquely designed with intricate patterns that no human hand could ever replicate. The Bible reminds us in Job 37:6 that God "says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’" showing His sovereign power over creation. When we look at snow covering the ground in a blanket of white, we’re reminded of God's purity and His promise to wash us clean. Isaiah 1:18 says, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” What an amazing picture of His grace and forgiveness! Beyond its beauty, snow also reveals God's creativity in how it provides insulation for plants, replenishes water sources, and even brings joy to our lives through snowflakes that melt on our skin, the crunch beneath our feet, and the wonder it brings to children playing outside. Each snowfall whispers of God’s artistry, reminding us that He delights in creating things that amaze and inspire us. Whether it's the gentle drift of snowflakes in the wind or the dazzling sparkle of ice in the sunlight, it all reflects the handiwork of our Creator who fills the world with wonder. Next time you see snow falling, take a moment to thank God for His creativity and the way He shows His love through even the smallest details of His creation.

Trusting in God’s will is essential because it acknowledges His sovereignty and perfect plan for our lives. While we may not always understand His ways, Scripture reminds us that His thoughts are higher than ours and His plans are for our good. Trusting God means surrendering our fears and uncertainties, knowing He works all things together for the good of those who love Him. When we rely on His wisdom rather than our own, we experience His peace and guidance, confident that His will leads to the best possible outcome for His glory and our ultimate joy.

God created Earth and He said it was good. God said He was satisfied with what He created. As creatures created by Him, we were created with senses to marvel at the beauty we see around us in nature. He gave us eyes, noses, the sense of touch and ears to be able to enjoy what he created. He gave us these bodies to be able to appreciate the beauty around us. But God promised us new bodies in glory to be able to enjoy the beauty of what will be Heaven. John 14:3 says "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also." There is a place that will be created for us. Heaven. So if Earth is this beautiful, can you imagine Heaven?

Why do we need to read the bible? There are many reasons. The bible is our compass to the truth. This world is full of false teachings and false truths. The bible tells us that the ruler of this world is the father of lies (2 Corinthians 4:4). We need to protect ourselves from these things. The bible also helps us fight off sin (Psalm 119:11). When we are in His Word, we are feeding our souls. We do need to eat physically but there are two parts of us that we need to feed. Our spirit and our physical bodies. But as Christians, the bible tells us to feed our souls with His word. Jesus said, when He was tempted... “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” We can literally become spiritually weak if we don't read the bible and it leaves us vulnerable to temptation and spiritual attacks. This means that we need a defense. That is why the bible is considered our sword, according to Ephesians 6. So be sure to get your nutrients from above by opening the bible daily!

In Romans 6:15-23, Paul talks about how we are no longer slaves to sin. Isn't it interesting how in the Old Testament, the Israelites were finally delivered out of bondage by God? And when they were finally clear from the Egyptians, they were protected by God and guided by Him and yet they continued to want to go back to slavery? Why would someone want to go back to slavery once they are set free? That is because our hearts are wicked and sinful by nature. But Romans 6 reminds us that we are no longer slaves to sin. We were bought at a price by our Savior. He paid the ransom for us. So what now? We lean on Him and live our lives in gratitude for being delivered from OUR former master, sin. Because Jesus paid the price for our freedom, He is now our Master and we should live our lives as slaves to righteousness. Sure we get tempted to go back to our old ways and return to our former master. That is our sinful nature. But as we mature in the faith, we become more and more like Jesus and live in Freedom from the bondage of sin. Turn to Jesus today and trust in Him for your salvation and repent. Turn away from Sin and look to the Savior where there is true freedom.

We all go through trials. And when we do, where to we tend to look for comfort or help? Some of look to things of the world. Drugs, material things, sin etc. In Matthew 14:22-33 the disciples were in a bad situation out in rough waters while in a small boat. But Jesus came to them walking on water so that they would learn a valuable lesson. That passage tells us to look to Jesus. The bible says in verse 27 "But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”. Jesus was letting the disciples know that it was Him. Meaning, to look at Jesus and do not be afraid. That He was the source of their strength, comfort and their peace. Then in verse 28, Peter says “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” And Jesus says "Come". Jesus didn't care that the waves were crashing everywhere and that the water was deep and rough. Jesus was in control of all of it. All He wanted Peter to do was keep his eyes on Him. And when He did, everything would be ok. So in times of trouble, look to Jesus to be your peace, comfort and strength.

When becoming a Christian, people will notice something different about you. Joy should be the default emotion for all Christians. That doesn't mean that you will never have bad days. We still live in a fallen world. But we should take solace in knowing that every trial and every event is under God's control. Tomorrow is His promise, our past sins He remembers no more. Eternal life is our destiny and His love is unchanging and without limit. Knowing these truths allows a Christian to have an inner peace and love. It also has a lot to do with the Holy Spirit Who allows a supernatural joy and love to run through us. Have you thanked God today for the joy you have in you?

Being at the foot of the cross means that we are in a constant mode of surrender. We give it all to Him. We lay our burdens at His feet. We trust in His will. We confess our sins to Him. We ask Him forgive us. We pray to Him and only Him. we are grateful and rely on His grace. And most importantly, we trust Him with our lives and our eternal position because we know that it is only Him that can provide eternal peace and happiness in Heaven because of His work.

People say to "Count your blessings". First ask God to help you recognize them. Then count them. There are so many ways that God blesses our lives on a daily basis. But we are too busy to notice them. Why not ask the author of those blessing where He blessed us? And as we are recognizing them, we are spending time praising Him and showing Him our gratitude and admiration. Spend time in His word today and thank Him for the many ways He has blessed you.

As children of God, we need not worry about Earthly methods or material things to get us by when we are down. Shall I depend upon the strength of the hills? upon princes and great men? No; my confidence is in God only. We have to look up. They say that when you are down and on your back, the only place left to look is up. Try it. Lay on your back on the floor or a bed. The most comfortable you will be is when your head looking up at the ceiling. If you turn your head to either side, your head will hurt and so will your neck, eventually. As it should be in life. We tend to get distracted with the things around us. Some look to substance abuse or to people who are bad influences. Or even keeping ourselves busy so we can forget our troubles. But we will find that all of those Earthly things end up making us feel uncomfortable at some point. But when we look to God, there is where we find comfort. He will never forsake you. He will never turn His back on you. He will never betray you and most importantly, His love never, ever runs out.

In the old days, ancient astronomers acted like they could actually count the number of stars in the sky. They actually thought that the number of stars in our sky was in the thousands. They were, obviously, proved wrong with the advent of telescopes. At that point, now there were clusters of stars called galaxies. Actual clusters with stars of their own. Now there are so many stars in our universe, that it overwhelms our simple, finite minds. As humans, we have things in our lives that we memorize by name. People, objects, even song lyrics. But our memory can only take us so far. Because our minds are confined to the brain we have inside our human heads. And even then, it is said that we only use about 10% of our brains. As for God, well... He is omniscient and omnipresent. Which means He is all knowing and He is also everywhere at once. A description that can only be given to a being outside of creation. The one and only true God. The God of creation. So if He created everything and is all-knowing and ever-present, naming each heavenly object and body is nothing to Him. Psalm 147:5 says "Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite." In Matthew, we are taught "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered." As well as in Hebrews 4:13 "And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do." So it is no surprise that our God, the God of all that exists, knows the number of stars in the sky as well as their names. Our God. The God of wonder is an awesome God.
