Easter is a season of great significance for people of faith around the world. It’s more than just a holiday... It’s the celebration of the greatest act of love in human history... The resurrection of Jesus Christ. For believers, Easter represents the triumph of life over death, light over darkness, and hope over despair. At the heart of Easter is the empty tomb. It is a symbol of victory, a promise kept, and an assurance that no matter how dark the night, morning is coming. Through Christ's resurrection, people of faith are reminded that God’s power is greater than any hardship, and His love reaches down into the depths of suffering to bring redemption. Easter keeps the flame of hope alive. It tells us that the story isn’t over and that God is still writing a beautiful ending for all who trust in Him.

Good Friday is a powerful and emotional day for us Christians. It’s a time to pause and remember the incredible love and sacrifice that Jesus showed by going to the cross. On this day, we’re invited to stand at the foot of the cross and really take in what He did for us. At the core, Good Friday is about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It’s the moment when He took on the weight of our sins and made a way for us to be reconciled with God. “But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.” - Isaiah 53:5 Yes today is a somber day, but it’s not a day without hope. Good Friday reminds us of the cost of our freedom, but it also points us forward to what’s coming… The resurrection! It’s amazing too. Because out of the darkest moment in history, came the brightest moment. As John 3:16 reminds us, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” So today, let’s take time to reflect. Let’s come with open hearts, remembering the depth of His love and the power of His grace. Let’s allow the cross to remind us not only of the price Jesus paid, but of the hope and new life we now have because of it. For those who do not consider themselves Christians, consider all of this and what it means for your life. Because Jesus didn’t only die for Christians, He died for the sins of the world, Including yours. So, I invite you to consider thanking Him for that sacrifice. Consider turning to him. Confess your sins and repent of them and put your faith and trust in him today for your salvation. God bless!

What does the bible say about friends? God loves His children enjoying each other's company! David and Jonathan's relationship was a amazing example of friendship and loyalty in the Bible. Check their story out in the book of 1 Samual! Jonathan, the son of King Saul, formed a close relationship with David after David defeated Goliath. The Bible describes their friendship with deep affection and loyalty. In 1 Samuel 18:3, it says, "And Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself." So, even though the tension and conflict that came up when Saul's jealousy of David led to many attempts on David’s life, Jonathan protected and supported David. In 1 Samuel 20:42, Jonathan says to David, "Go in peace, for we have sworn friendship with each other in the name of the Lord, saying, 'The Lord is witness between you and me, and between your descendants and my descendants forever.'" Their friendship is celebrated as one that has mutual respect, faithfulness, and protection. It is any amazing example of selfless love and unwavering support amid challenging circumstances. Who is the David or Jonathan in your life? I love my brothers and sisters in Christ and the time we spend together in fellowship and learning God's word AND the way we walk in Christ together is a true blessing. God loves to see His children obeying Him in how we live our lives together.

Sharing the Gospel is vital because Jesus commanded us to do so, and it plays a crucial role in God’s plan for the world. In Mark 13:10, Jesus declares, "And the gospel must first be preached to all nations." This verse reminds us that spreading the message of salvation is not optional—it is a divine mandate. The Gospel is the power of God for salvation (Romans 1:16), offering hope, forgiveness, and eternal life through Jesus Christ. As His followers, we are called to be His witnesses, ensuring that every person has the opportunity to hear the truth. By obeying this command, we participate in God's redemptive work, shining His light in a dark world and preparing hearts for Christ’s return.

It's important to resist doing what the devil wants because his goal is to lead us away from God and fill our hearts with doubt, fear, and sin. Instead, we should do the opposite and seek to follow God's will, which brings us peace, joy, and purpose. God’s way is always good, leading us to a life filled with His love and blessings. One of the best ways to stay on the right path is by reading His Word. The Bible gives us wisdom, strength, and guidance to make the right choices and stand firm against the enemy's tricks. When we fill our minds with God’s truth, we can recognize lies and stay focused on what truly matters—living a life that honors Him.

Snow is one of God's most beautiful and creative works. Each snowflake that falls from the sky is a tiny masterpiece, uniquely designed with intricate patterns that no human hand could ever replicate. The Bible reminds us in Job 37:6 that God "says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’" showing His sovereign power over creation. When we look at snow covering the ground in a blanket of white, we’re reminded of God's purity and His promise to wash us clean. Isaiah 1:18 says, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow.” What an amazing picture of His grace and forgiveness! Beyond its beauty, snow also reveals God's creativity in how it provides insulation for plants, replenishes water sources, and even brings joy to our lives through snowflakes that melt on our skin, the crunch beneath our feet, and the wonder it brings to children playing outside. Each snowfall whispers of God’s artistry, reminding us that He delights in creating things that amaze and inspire us. Whether it's the gentle drift of snowflakes in the wind or the dazzling sparkle of ice in the sunlight, it all reflects the handiwork of our Creator who fills the world with wonder. Next time you see snow falling, take a moment to thank God for His creativity and the way He shows His love through even the smallest details of His creation.

Trusting in God’s will is essential because it acknowledges His sovereignty and perfect plan for our lives. While we may not always understand His ways, Scripture reminds us that His thoughts are higher than ours and His plans are for our good. Trusting God means surrendering our fears and uncertainties, knowing He works all things together for the good of those who love Him. When we rely on His wisdom rather than our own, we experience His peace and guidance, confident that His will leads to the best possible outcome for His glory and our ultimate joy.

God created Earth and He said it was good. God said He was satisfied with what He created. As creatures created by Him, we were created with senses to marvel at the beauty we see around us in nature. He gave us eyes, noses, the sense of touch and ears to be able to enjoy what he created. He gave us these bodies to be able to appreciate the beauty around us. But God promised us new bodies in glory to be able to enjoy the beauty of what will be Heaven. John 14:3 says "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also." There is a place that will be created for us. Heaven. So if Earth is this beautiful, can you imagine Heaven?

Why do we need to read the bible? There are many reasons. The bible is our compass to the truth. This world is full of false teachings and false truths. The bible tells us that the ruler of this world is the father of lies (2 Corinthians 4:4). We need to protect ourselves from these things. The bible also helps us fight off sin (Psalm 119:11). When we are in His Word, we are feeding our souls. We do need to eat physically but there are two parts of us that we need to feed. Our spirit and our physical bodies. But as Christians, the bible tells us to feed our souls with His word. Jesus said, when He was tempted... “It is written, “‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” We can literally become spiritually weak if we don't read the bible and it leaves us vulnerable to temptation and spiritual attacks. This means that we need a defense. That is why the bible is considered our sword, according to Ephesians 6. So be sure to get your nutrients from above by opening the bible daily!

In Romans 6:15-23, Paul talks about how we are no longer slaves to sin. Isn't it interesting how in the Old Testament, the Israelites were finally delivered out of bondage by God? And when they were finally clear from the Egyptians, they were protected by God and guided by Him and yet they continued to want to go back to slavery? Why would someone want to go back to slavery once they are set free? That is because our hearts are wicked and sinful by nature. But Romans 6 reminds us that we are no longer slaves to sin. We were bought at a price by our Savior. He paid the ransom for us. So what now? We lean on Him and live our lives in gratitude for being delivered from OUR former master, sin. Because Jesus paid the price for our freedom, He is now our Master and we should live our lives as slaves to righteousness. Sure we get tempted to go back to our old ways and return to our former master. That is our sinful nature. But as we mature in the faith, we become more and more like Jesus and live in Freedom from the bondage of sin. Turn to Jesus today and trust in Him for your salvation and repent. Turn away from Sin and look to the Savior where there is true freedom.

We all go through trials. And when we do, where to we tend to look for comfort or help? Some of look to things of the world. Drugs, material things, sin etc. In Matthew 14:22-33 the disciples were in a bad situation out in rough waters while in a small boat. But Jesus came to them walking on water so that they would learn a valuable lesson. That passage tells us to look to Jesus. The bible says in verse 27 "But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”. Jesus was letting the disciples know that it was Him. Meaning, to look at Jesus and do not be afraid. That He was the source of their strength, comfort and their peace. Then in verse 28, Peter says “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” And Jesus says "Come". Jesus didn't care that the waves were crashing everywhere and that the water was deep and rough. Jesus was in control of all of it. All He wanted Peter to do was keep his eyes on Him. And when He did, everything would be ok. So in times of trouble, look to Jesus to be your peace, comfort and strength.

When becoming a Christian, people will notice something different about you. Joy should be the default emotion for all Christians. That doesn't mean that you will never have bad days. We still live in a fallen world. But we should take solace in knowing that every trial and every event is under God's control. Tomorrow is His promise, our past sins He remembers no more. Eternal life is our destiny and His love is unchanging and without limit. Knowing these truths allows a Christian to have an inner peace and love. It also has a lot to do with the Holy Spirit Who allows a supernatural joy and love to run through us. Have you thanked God today for the joy you have in you?

Being at the foot of the cross means that we are in a constant mode of surrender. We give it all to Him. We lay our burdens at His feet. We trust in His will. We confess our sins to Him. We ask Him forgive us. We pray to Him and only Him. we are grateful and rely on His grace. And most importantly, we trust Him with our lives and our eternal position because we know that it is only Him that can provide eternal peace and happiness in Heaven because of His work.

People say to "Count your blessings". First ask God to help you recognize them. Then count them. There are so many ways that God blesses our lives on a daily basis. But we are too busy to notice them. Why not ask the author of those blessing where He blessed us? And as we are recognizing them, we are spending time praising Him and showing Him our gratitude and admiration. Spend time in His word today and thank Him for the many ways He has blessed you.

As children of God, we need not worry about Earthly methods or material things to get us by when we are down. Shall I depend upon the strength of the hills? upon princes and great men? No; my confidence is in God only. We have to look up. They say that when you are down and on your back, the only place left to look is up. Try it. Lay on your back on the floor or a bed. The most comfortable you will be is when your head looking up at the ceiling. If you turn your head to either side, your head will hurt and so will your neck, eventually. As it should be in life. We tend to get distracted with the things around us. Some look to substance abuse or to people who are bad influences. Or even keeping ourselves busy so we can forget our troubles. But we will find that all of those Earthly things end up making us feel uncomfortable at some point. But when we look to God, there is where we find comfort. He will never forsake you. He will never turn His back on you. He will never betray you and most importantly, His love never, ever runs out.

In the old days, ancient astronomers acted like they could actually count the number of stars in the sky. They actually thought that the number of stars in our sky was in the thousands. They were, obviously, proved wrong with the advent of telescopes. At that point, now there were clusters of stars called galaxies. Actual clusters with stars of their own. Now there are so many stars in our universe, that it overwhelms our simple, finite minds. As humans, we have things in our lives that we memorize by name. People, objects, even song lyrics. But our memory can only take us so far. Because our minds are confined to the brain we have inside our human heads. And even then, it is said that we only use about 10% of our brains. As for God, well... He is omniscient and omnipresent. Which means He is all knowing and He is also everywhere at once. A description that can only be given to a being outside of creation. The one and only true God. The God of creation. So if He created everything and is all-knowing and ever-present, naming each heavenly object and body is nothing to Him. Psalm 147:5 says "Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite." In Matthew, we are taught "But the very hairs of your head are all numbered." As well as in Hebrews 4:13 "And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do." So it is no surprise that our God, the God of all that exists, knows the number of stars in the sky as well as their names. Our God. The God of wonder is an awesome God.

The word of God tells us that we can be like eagles! (So-to-speak) That is, if we decide to rely on God as our strength just like eagles rely on the wind, we can maintain healthy spiritual life if we refrain from anxiety and worry and let God's power and will to guide our lives. So instead of living our lives on our own power and attempting to flap our own wings, let God take us to new heights under His power and strength.

Life has many paths. And this world has many distractions. Not a good combo, huh? Well, the bible has no mention of airplanes. But it has plenty of examples of people following or not following God's guidance. The Old Testament is chock full of examples of people going their own way or God's. And we see the consequences of either choice. So when it comes to making a difficult decision in life or any decision, really... Talk to God about it. He may not give you an answer right away, but that makes it all the more important to wait on Him. In Psalms, God tells us "Be still and know that I am God" - Psalm 46:10. So if you want God to guide you, be still and wait. But always let Him be your pilot and He will never let you down.

Ever go outside and get blown away by the night sky? Every one of those dots is a powerful star or gigantic planet! Or maybe even a whole other galaxy! I really is amazing how small those large heavenly bodies make us feel. In the old days, people used to be so amazed and overwhelmed by these huge galactic giants, that some worshipped them! But in those days, God actually told them not to do that. In Deuteronomy 4:19 God said, "And beware lest you raise your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, you be drawn away and bow down to them and serve them." As big as those heavenly bodies are, we are not to worship them, but instead, praise God for them. Those are merely signs of His power and creativity! Let's look at nature as another way God is glorified! What a loving and creative God we have!

This was one of my earlier drawings. It was inspired by 1 Timothy 4:13 and Acts 13:15. It is so important to teach the word of God and encouraging one another until the day of the Lord. This world is full of false teachers. And false teachers don't have to be pastors or preachers. Remember, the god of this world is Satan. And false teaching runs ramped in the media and society. All of this can make us discouraged and even down, at times. So to remedy false teaching and feelings of discouragement, Christ tells us to remain steadfast in our teaching and encouraging one another until the day He returns.

God has been faithful to His people since the beginning. We have changed from faithful to unfaithful. From righteous to sinful. But through out all of that, He has remained unchanged. Faithful always. Doesn't He deserve our praises? Doesn't He deserve our worship? God loves it when His children sing to Him. Psalm 105 teaches that. What is your favorite hymn?

Jesus tells us that we are to be salt and light. Salt is pretty useless with the salt taste. And light is pretty worthless if it is covered up. Jesus gives us some practical teaching about being "the light of the world". We display the light of Jesus when we do good works. We are meant to be light in this dark world. Christ is the spiritual light in this world and it is distributed through His people. Born again believers. Go and be light!

We all have battles in our lives. But we should remember who our champion is. David defeated Goliath with His faith in God. It's only natural for us to want to take the wheel in our lives. After all, we control our bodies and our minds. So it's second nature for us to want to handle everything outside of our bodies. But God wants us to rely on Him. He is our Father and our Creator who loves us with a love we will never understand on this side of Heaven. If we allow Him to fight our battles, doesn't that help us concentrate on serving and glorifying Him?

The ten commandments were meant to be a mirror for us. A mirror to help us see our sinfulness. They were meant to show us our need for the eventual Savior that will later come. We are created and loved by a God that is the exact opposite of us. Pure and holy. He wouldn't be God if He contained just a single ounce of the sin we have. God is perfect in every way. That is why we need Christ. Jesus died so that His righteous could be imputed on us. That makes it possible for us to enter Heaven and enter into God's presence. God cannot be around sin. Nor is sin allowed anywhere near Heaven. So it all works out. God's plan was meant to reconcile us to Himself. Through the sacrificial work of His Son who died for us on the cross. Have you accepted Christ as your Savior?

Life throws a lot of curve balls at us. But it also throws a lot of, well, presents. A lot of people say that they will follow God even through bad times. But what about the good times? Or even the great times? Remember what happened to the rich young ruler in Matthew 19 and Mark 10? He told Jesus that he had followed all the commandments since his youth. But Jesus caught him off guard by asking him to give away all that he owned and follow Him. The young ruler declined Jesus' offer and walked away sad. Jesus also said "Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.” -Matthew 19:21-24 It's hard for people to need anything when they have everything. The treasures of this world distract us from what is important. It is important to follow God and His ways no matter the circumstances. Would you be willing to give it all up and follow Christ?

The next time you have a moment, have a look at the moon. Then look at a tree. The sky. An animal. All of those things are made by God. Everything was made through Him as well. And not only do we have creation to thank Him for but also our salvation! And with all that, doesn't He deserve all the glory, honor and praise? Praise God for allowing us to have the intelligence and the eyes to be able to enjoy His creation but most importantly, praise God for our salvation!

Christ is the ultimate example. In fact, He is our only example in terms of how we should lead our lives. Sure, we look to other godly Christians as examples as well. But Christ is the one example all believers should look to. He is the ultimate Teacher. The ultimate High Priest. The ultimate sacrifice. But Peter tells us that Christ is our example when it comes to suffering as well. All of His sufferings were unjust. He was innocent, and yet, was lead to the slaughter without protest. He did not seek to retaliate. We must understand that, in life, there is not one circumstance to which we cannot look to Christ for on how to respond. Especially in our sufferings. Because when we suffer for God and His purpose, we are blessed and He is glorified.

In Romans 15:13, Paul was asking God to give believers joy and peace. But not just give it to them, but rather, fill them with it! And we know that God's resources are endless. So when we receive this joy and peace from God, it was meant to overflow! God, Himself, is overflowing with joy and peace and has enough to give it to us and then some. So He is making sure we have that extra joy and peace to give to others! Or, at least, to show it in a way that makes us stand out! But also the hope! He wants us to abound in hope so that we can get through this lifetime and sail right into the next! And all this is being done by the awesome power of the Holy Spirit! Isn't God awesome??

We come to God broken. None of us are complete when coming to Christ. We are flawed. We are broken. We are imperfect. God does all the rebuilding. God sent the ultimate repair man! But what is beautiful, is that while we were still sinners, Christ STILL died for us! And while we are being rebuilt, God is still loving us with a love we will never fully understand until we are in Heaven. But despite all of this, Christ lives in us! We are the new dwelling of God. No longer is there a temple that we have to build, upkeep, and maintain. God lives in each of His children. The very broken vessels He called to Himself.

There is evil out there. Both in this world and outside of it. The evil in this world is fought using law enforcement, the military, and the justice system. But the evil that lurks in the spiritual realm which is outside of this world needs to be fought supernaturally. And for that, we have God to thank. He provides us with the proper tools we need in order to defend ourselves and to fight with. Paul reminds us in Ephesians 6 that we have access to the Armor of God. He tells us that those who put on the full armor of God are promised protection and benefits. With this armor we are to be on guard at all times. The armor allows and helps us to stand firm in times of struggle and battle. But this passage reminds us that in our spiritual battles, God will win for us. Always. All we have to do is turn to Him and trust in His protection and will. We need to trust in the Armor of God and stand firm until Christ's return where He will win the ultimate battle between good and evil.

What is amazing about the Day of the Lord is no that it is a new day. It is that we are being made new! What makes the days special is not that it marks a new time in our calendars towards the weekend, but that we are being changed from the inside out. And it is not special because we have the day off or something. It is special because it is His day. This verse has multiple interpretations from modern scholars. It either means the day of deliverance or the day that the stone was made the cornerstone. Either way, all days of the year are days God has made and we should celebrate the Gospel message; that we have been delivered from our sin. We have salvation in Jesus. We will be in eternity with God. So as we enjoy God's glory all around us, let us be glad in it and celebrate a new life in Christ Jesus our Lord!

The bible tells us to pray without ceasing. That means we are encouraged to pray in all circumstances. No matter the situation. Pray brings us closer to God. Prayer trains us to rely on Him and His will. Prayer brings us closer to God along with His word. Prayer glorifies God. Prayer, especially public prayer, brings attention to God and the Gospel. It is a public statement, testimony, and proclamation that says we answer and pray to the Creator of the universe. It tells others that we have a relationship with Him. But most importantly, God loves it when we talk to Him. Just like any parent loves it when their children talk to us and rely on us for help. Prayer warms God's heart when it is done unselfishly and when we respect and remember that whatever we ask is according to His will and for His glory.

The moment Adam bit into that apple, a divide happened between God and man. Ever since, God had a plan for us. Even before time began! God's purpose for us was for us to be reconciled to Him. You see, we drifted in the garden of eden. Since then, He has been calling us home. That is what the entire story in the bible is. God's plan of redemption for us through His Son Jesus. Jesus was sent by God to be a bridge for us to cross. Without Jesus, we will plunge to our deaths for eternity. Separated from God forever in, what the bible calls, the lake of fire. God sent His one and only Son to die for our sins. Because if we die in our sins, we fall into that vast void of eternal damnation. But if we die in Christ, that is, if we put our trust in Him and repent of our sins, we are allowed to cross that bridge and live in eternal joy with are Father in Heaven whom we were separated from because of our sin until Jesus saved us. Come to Christ today and cross that bridge. Your Father is calling you home.

There is a lot behind the name of God. And those names represent all that God can do and has done. So when we proclaim His name, we proclaim just that. All that He has done for us. And all that He can do for others! God has the power to save. God is mighty, he is the most High, He is our Shepherd, He is our Healer, He is our Peace, and the Lord of Hosts and He is everlasting. But there is so much more that God is and has done. God deserves our worship and He deserves to be proclaimed to the world through our witness through our songs, through our prayers, our actions, and our words. So proclaim His name to everyone you know. And even those you don't know!

This is a verse that is often mis-interpreted. Many think that it means that when a few people are gathered, Christ is with them. But, in fact, God is with each one of us even when we are alone because He dwells in us. But this verse was originally intended for the context of discipline, whereas, when two or more are gathered, it is talking about witnesses. But even the mis-interpreted meaning of this verse is true. God is, in fact, with us when we gather. He is in each of us but when we gather, He is with all of us. As a matter of fact, In the opening chapter of his narrative, Matthew tells of a messiah who will be called “Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins” and also be called “Immanuel, which means God with us.” The entire gospel narrative comes to a close with Jesus-Immanuel standing in the presence of his disciples and saying to them “I am with you always.”
